Norfolk Project Remploy Remploy Packaging and Print, is a National company that produces packaging and Carton products for many of the UK’s top retail brands. Here in Norwich, is one of their branches that has really taken to learning. Nearly all the workforce of about 60 have been on courses learning New Computer Skills, this has been done with the full co-operation of the company. The GMB have a national agreement with Remploy and this has meant that those attending the course could do the learning in work time with full pay. In the Summer 2004 a training centre was opened on the site with brand new computers along with tables and chairs. Adult Education have been the main provider for the courses, which has been challenging at times, as many of the employees have disabilities, but this has not been a problem, as support was always there for the learners.
